Lost in the Mountains

Last weekend we were really tired of sitting in our hotel room so we decided to go for a drive with no destination. I really enjoy getting lost out here in Japan and finding my way back. When I'm really bored during the week, that's what I usually do, just got for a drive! Someone had told us about an island that you can drive to with beautiful beaches. We were trying to go there, but on the way Isaac saw a sign for a park and decided to try it out. Honestly the pictures don't do justice to the breathtaking views. I cant wait to get my camera charger back so I can use it again!

On our way up! Looking down at U-Beach, where we went snorkeling a few weekends ago.

Cute little village looking out at the ocean.

Thick bamboo forest!

Almost to the top, amazing view of the islands.

Rice farm built into the mountain.

Who would like to live here? All alone with a wonderful view of the ocean and islands.

Winding our way up!

At the top. I could have stayed here forever!

Look what we found! A small shrine at the very top of the mountain. We were walking around and saw a building and decided to check it out. I would have taken pictures of the inside, but it is considered disrespectful. Seemed like it is still used, the inside was very clean. I love finding little treasures like this!

Isaac posing with a dragon!

I couldn't get enough of the view.

The tiny road that we took to the very top of the mountain. Such a great adventure! Tomorrow ill post pictures of soba noodle restaurant and about a Japanese cooking class that I took. I'll teach you to make Yakisoba!
