Goodbye USA!

Before I even begin I think I should start with an explanation of my blog name. Most of y'all know my brother Chad or have heard me talk about him. He is my best friend, such a goof, well and really smart too! So naturally I turn to him for most things. I am not creative with naming or writing, but Chad is of course. He named this blog. His explanation: Japan is known as the rising sun and I am of course a southern girl so he came up with Southern Sun Rising! Pretty good huh? Thanks bubba :0)

I am sitting at the airport waiting for our flight with a mixture of feelings. At this moment I could possibly cry, laugh, sleep, smile, or throw a pitiful adult fit. Why? Well I am moving to Japan for 3 years with my husband Isaac. I have lived away from family for the past 5 years, but not this far. I lean on them so much and it is going to be hard being so far away. At the same time I am excited for this amazing experience. I will be able to see things and go places that I never imagined I would. It is a bittersweet situation. 

I hope to post everyday but that is probably not realistic, most likey every other day! I thought this would be the best way to keep everyone updated without having to send a million emails or upload a million pictures to Facebook. I hope that you follow us on this adventure and maybe even come visit. Thank you so much for being a part of my life :0) I will miss y'all dearly!!
